you kidding me? Chavez Jr was hurt on multiple occasions... Chavez Jr felt Martinez's punches... that's why he didn't just walk through them, they actually hurt

Martinez defense was never that great... he got tagged by Pwill, Pavlik, and even got hit by those no-namers before he got in the ring with Chavez Jr...

People watch boxing to see people get hit, not to see two guys slip and block punches all night

I'm not saying he is a world beater, but he has an impressive offense and has fought everyone they put in-front of him.

That fight was one I will NEVER forget, specifically the last round. Sergio owned Jr. but I take my hat off to Jr.'s final push in the last round that almost saw Maravilla counted out. I think Martinez put so much pressure on himself in the pre-fight bravado for the KO that I feel the blame lies on him for not playing it smart in the last round and ALMOST paying the ultimate price for his pride. Jr. deserves praise though for almost scoring the win himself, and he definitely earned some respect from this boxing fan. That said, I love Sergio and am so happy for his huge accomplishment of claiming the title of Undisputed MW Champ of the World. I absolutely think Jr. deserves the rematch, but I will say this: A lot of folks are going to favor Jr. now in a rematch because of the late surge, but I got Sergio on the next contest too, without a doubt. So if it happens, I will definitely be down for putting points on Maravilla dominating again, but next time with no close calls or high emotional drama. I believe Martinez will not make that mistake again forgetting he is the smaller man (or ignoring the fact out of Machismo), I am confident of that. WARGENTINA WARGENTINA WARGENTINA!!!

Which is why i'd love to see him fight Pavlik and get KO'd senseless. That said he earned respect with his effort to remain upright.

Funny how Chavez Jr fans are praising him for knocking Martinez down and winning 1 round but his big ass couldn't even finish Martinez and Martinez didn't hold on but fought toe to toe. Chavez Jr don't get no credit. He has and always will be overrated like the majority of Top Rank fighters. Arum was supposed to get that kid in the ring with tougher comp earlier in his career to prepare him for a fight like this. Sergio would murk Alvarez too.

Boxing is more than just beating on a guy its more its what has the other guy, its what Sergio did to his last opponents and its what he COULD NOT DO THAT he said he would do, but it nearly happened to him.

Much more but you would not understand

Boxing, like any sport is about ONE thing, and that's winning. Martinez WON!!

To be honest this fight has been one side fight untill two mements;how can people want to see a rematch?MARTINEZ outclassed, outboxed and played for 11 rounds with the world champion...ridicolous!1Without that lucky punch in the 12 round JCC Jr. should have come back in MEXICO with 3000 bodyguards to protect his life.JCC Jr. didn't fought like a champion infact he's not a champion at my eyes but he is phisically strong to take shots and this is his quality.Anyway the headbutt in the 11 round changed something in MARTINEZ..watch it better the fight after the headbutt. One sided fight that we could call it THE GREATES PUNISHMENT OF A WORLD CHAMPION IN HISTORY if wasn't for the last round.CHAVEZ JR. didn't fought but he only tried to survive and land a lucky punch, this fight is a version of MIKE JONES vs RANDALL BAILEY but BAILEY has been lucky that JONES hasn't the BALLS of MARTINEZ who fought last minute without legs like very few boxer should have done with 11 round in the bank...MARTINEZ HAS HEART,BALLS,SPEED AND GREAT BOXING TALENT/SKILLS!!!

Diuretics. He uses them to lose the weight, as i suspect many many many boxers do. They are a banned substance, but not really a PED. Actually they could be detrimental to performance as they essentially dehydrate you quickly. The main reason they are banned is because they are used to mask other PED's.

It would have came up in the pre and post fight drug tests, so there goes that theory. Don't go on some rant about OSDT either, Jr got caught the first time without it, so did Tarver.

The truth is, all fighters are accountable unless they are testing YEAR ROUND like Donaire is. Floyd might be on a cycle for all we know.
