That 12th was insane i couldn't stop shaking for 5 min after the knockdown but the first 11 (although u could maybe argue chavez won the 8th and 11th) rounds were all sergio's. I wonder how the chavez fans are feeling right now.

Both guys showed a lot of heart and I give them both props!

Martinez could have easily coasted all of the 12th round and played it safe but instead he chose to keep on fighting, even after he got hurt he wasn't really clinching he just kept on punching just like Marquez after he gets hurt.

Martinez showed he has the heart of a champion. Fought back when he was hurt like never before and never gave up. Also shown he has a good chin. Taking bombs like that from a 180-185 pound man throwing sledge hammerish type shots and still didnt put him away. Viva Sergio Martinez

Sergio was running the last four rounds, what heart?? Sergio said he was gonna ko him yet he was the one that almost got koed. He punched chavez 1000 times and Chávez was swelling but never hurt. He hit Sergio 5 times and almost koed him!!

just wow, what a fight !chavez wasnt ready martinez did very well, for 11 rounds, chavez wasnt agressive enough didnt cut off the ring like he shouldve and couldve, and rt when he had martinez going he'd ;let off my heart and soul was with chavez he indeed lost the decision, but he embarrassed martinez you dont lose the championship rounds and you certainly dont get Knocked through the ropes and barley survive if your what martinez and his fans THINK he is,
Chavez needs more practice technique and experience, but he proved he can ko this guy and despite his shortcomings he is made of far superrior heart and soul

What I saw was that if Junior moves to 168 he is a KO waiting to happen, or at least a TKO. And why? Simply because he gets hit way to much by an elite fighter.
