I can't blame rigo for this, seems all the too guys in any division close to his is completely ducking him.
donaire especially, rigo wants the big names, these guys won't even mention him.
I don't think it's a matter of being sensitive. It's a matter of what's right and how to handle yourself in public. There's a time and place for everything. I'm a pretty foul-mouthed guy amongst my friends, and in a particular setting, but you'll rarely read anything close to that from me on this forum. Why? Because it's not the place to do it, in my opinion.
Rigo can talk however he wants among the guys in the gym. I would lmao if he called Donaire and Nishioka "come pingas" (****eaters) in front of me. But Guillermo was being interviewed for public consumption. He's not only representing himself and his sport, but his people as well.
i guarantee you if any of you knew cubans and the way we speak you have heard the term " come pinga " a million times its not that serious
I agree, and I'm pretty sure Rigo simply talks like that among his peeps. It's just the lingo. But DJ called attention to his manner of speaking and Guillermo blew him off. He could've apologized for his choice of words and said something like, "I'm accustomed to speaking that way when I'm in the gym training, where I'm comfortable." He chose to let his words stand. It's just not the way a professional should conduct himself.
