well no one is saying you have to be ripped and jacked to fight, too jacked equals less stamina due to fast and slow twitch mm fiber ratios,

    however,

lopez looks like he added 15lbs or more of fat and water, through high calorie

diet instead of high protein and necessary carbs with healthy fats...

dude should have hired a fantastic nutriionist...

i had lopez pulling off the upset but i think the weight he is carryin is wrong

and will stunt him and slow him down significantly...

    sad...

        He is probably already hydrated

Yup that pretty much sum's it up. Lopez would have been better off training like he usually does and come in at 146 or 147. He was in great shape for Ortiz at 144.

What did people expect Lopez to look like, he's jumped two divisions, he's hardly going to be ripped.

I want to make a bold prediction on this one. It will be a competitive boxing match until Canelo catches him around rounds 6 to 7. Lopez would not be battered, but will get a chilling one-punch KO. He will get up wobbly, eyes looking blank, and ref stops it. I still hope I'm wrong. (just a fan opinion, no expert here)

wow man. It looks like Lopez didn't even do any resistance/strength training at all

I know looking ripped and muscular doesn't win you fights but if you're gonna be moving UP in weight it's probably a good idea to try and add some muscle to your frame so you can fill out better....

C'mon Lopez...150 was your number. I hope that he wasn't trying to be a do-gooder and make the 154 lb limit.

I remember him fighting Vargas at 142 lbs, people tend to forget that. Then he fought Victor 2lbs higher than that, not a huge leap. 150 would've been good for him here.

Cuts and muscles dont win fights, but water and fat dont help either.
