I don't get this. Bradley gets $1 million for the Casamayor fight. (undercard)
Martinez gets $1.4 million in a BIG middleweight fight, there not much difference between these two guys purse. But a BIG difference in popularity!
    Where's the logic?

        Rewind.

HBO REALLY, REALLY REALLY wanted to make Bradley-Alexander, the two best fighters at 140. They thought it was going to be a great fight, it wasn't. But what happened was HBO PROMISED both bradley & alexander $1 million+ paydays to the winner & loser in their immediate fight. That's why bradley got that much for fighting a washed up guy.

That's my memory of it anyway.

Sergio's opponent managed to take a high % of what HBO was willing to front for the guarantee.
