By Jake Donovan - The biggest middleweight fight in years is officially on for Saturday evening at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. Sergio Martinez and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. both made weight for their PPV headliner, which will be for the lineal middleweight championship.

Martinez (49-2-2, 28KO) weighed in at 159 lb for what marks the fifth defense of the crown he won 2½ years ago. Chavez Jr was slightly lighter, looking fit and remarkably trim at 158 lb.

Salute to the lil prick for having the discipline & courage to make weight...& 2lbs under at that. But this needs to be his final fight at 60....Son did not look healthy. He actually looked to be walking gingerly toward the scale. I still expect a tough fight but reminded me of how margarito looked for the pac fight. He was stepping so slowly & softly toward the scale. We'll see tomorrow. Based off this tho...I'm expecting jr to be slower, weaker to get his **** chipped up. late stoppage...or just distance battering.

Looks like "Sugar" Cesar Chavez is going to dance. I was hoping he'd go for the KO, but it looks like he's going to pump out that magnificent jab of his and make Martinez look like the club fighter he is with his vastly superior footwork.
