But he won't be fighting at that level again

At MOST it will be khan or malignaggi

That is a LONG way off pacquiao or Floyd levels of challenge and if he's even half of what he was he will at least be live against guys like that.

If he comes back, knocks over a cab driver, edges Paulie for the title, and beats khan at Wembley in a huge UK superfight he can retire on his own terms, a much happier man and who will begrudge him the chance to try?

I think he will fight a bum in November and a bum in maybe March/April then he will look for a last big fight at the end of next year against either Malignaggi or Khan.
Sky Sports will try and buy the fights but Ricky will demand they offer his promotional company a new contract aswell which may be a deal breaker.

You're probably right here but it doesn't stop him from being right (Jesus, can't believe I just agreed with Frank Warren).

Couldn't agree more. Hatton never lived the life of a boxer (ala Floyd or Haye, etc) and his style was always going to leave his body more beat up. I don't see it being a good idea.

I don't think anyone is thinking that it'll be a Pac or Floyd level of challenge again (if it is I'd really fear for Hatton).

I just don't see it being a good idea. Hatton isn't (IMO I could be wrong of course) going to have improved with age. I can't see that he's all of a suddent started living the life of a boxer now and to be honest who would want him to? It's one of the reasons fans loved him.

His style is never going to change, he's not going to become a smart boxer now. We saw that against Pac. All this Hatton's changed crap just won't work once he gets hit, he'll want to fly into a tear up. Old dogs don't learn new tricks.

The sad thing is, it's highly likely if he comes back and does fight a Paulie or a Khan and he gets beat, convincingly, what does that do for his legacy? I understand him not wanting to leave the sport on the back of getting KO'd by Pac but I'd rather leave like that than lose to guys who couldn't lace up my gloves in my prime.

I could be wrong (I hope I am) and Ricky could come back and do it the way you've stated above which would be amazing, it really would.

But I just see it ending badly for him.

If Hatton wins his next few fights, it'll be Bradley v Hatton, guarenteed.

A few fight wins to hype him up and get the crowd roaring, and Bradley ain't saying no to a mega payday with what the brits bring against (Probably) a shot Hatton.
