Poor Chavez Jr. He shouldn't have taken this fight. He's getting his ass beat bad. Respect to him for doing it though, he shut up a lot of people just by taking the fight.

Chavez's style is tailor made for Sergio.

          1) Stamina won't be an issue for Martinez.
          2) Chavez is too slow
          3) He has mediocre defense
          4) Chavez has good power but Sergio i feel has atleast that much power.

Sergio is def not afraid, i think he has a pure dislike for Chavez Jr. and is probably the most hungry he's ever been. He's going to knock this kid out. I don't see this as a close fight at all.
I'm NOT saying Chavez will win
          but to rebut:

          1) Stamina doesn't become an issue until you get hit to the body.
          2) Most fighters that have fought Sergio go head hunting.
          3) Chavez, although mediocre defense has a very good chin.(Due to the fact that he's huge middleweight).

Sergio can knock him out, if he waits for him, but if he starts trading with Dinero de Vaca, he will get punished and will slow down.

Look for a robbery if it goes to a decision.

Martinez has the kinda style that is taxing on himself and his opponent, it takes a lot of physical/mental stamina to keep up. It's not that his previous fighters didn't want to go to the body (Macklin actually made the effort), it's that they are afraid of putting themselves in a vulnerable position. I expect Sergio to negate Jr's body attack by countering, maintaining distance and clinching. Jr's punch resistance is fine, but his chin is still questionable.

He seems like a good fighter but you can't really tell because the biggest person on his resume to me is the fight where he knocked out Paul Williams, and Williams seem to have fallen off.

His other impressive fight was against Kelly Pavlik and an old Bernard Hopkins schooled him. Williams lost his fight against Lara; so it's really hard to access Martinez's ability because his last few fights were against tomato cans!!
