More twists to the other mysterious twists we already got going? No thanks. Plus who's gonna take 50 serious if he does that? They'll just be like "well he's gonna fail again."

I didn't like 50's attitude anyways, dude just sound like another corrupt promoter who was in it to pimp the sport and get his money (aren't they all?). We already have enough of that crap.

Guess it's back to making irrelevant music and B movies for 50.

It's possible that he had certain expectations of Floyd, and Floyd decided not to go through with it. But by that time, the fighters were already being signed and match-ups were already being planned. Maybe 50 was moving too fast and Floyd couldn't handle it or changed his mind on the whole thing. However, it begs the question, why did 50 surrender all the contracts to Mayweather Promotions? To give him time to regroup? Or cuz he's really done with the entire idea?

50 already has a license, why let it go to waste? I don't think the plot is finished yet.

Maybe 50 watched a few Martinez fights and realized he backed the wrong horse when he endorsed Chavez Jr, so he decided to leave boxing and save face?
