    Valuev's Marketability in North America

    Politics of the decision aside,

What do you think the response will be to a marketing campaign with Valuev introduced to an American audience?

If King were to put Valuev in with someone like Golota in Vegas and bill it to the casual fans who may not be familar with him as a "Giant" now on the Heavyweght scene, does it boost the populary and interest in the Heavyweight division?

I had wondered about Kings interest in the outcome of this fight thinking he maybe felt Valuev's freakish size might = a cash cow.

If Toney beats Rahman like he should, imagine all the David and Goliath non sense he could muster in that match up.

I know it's nill right now.

I'm asking if King possibly had interest in Valuev getting this title to start a marketing campaign in the US.

I think Valuev's freakish size may generate a lot of interest from casual and unfimiliar audiences.

I am not saying I am in favour of this either.

If Valuev honestly deserved the decision he has won against Ruiz, then I don't see why not. You can't just be any old bum and beat Ruiz after all. If he's huge and has a good jab like I'm hearing, I don't see how he can't be marketable here. Especially if he blows Golota out in a couple rounds.

I think he easily marketable. And if he knows English the better. But I have a feeling from hearing other freaks his height talk that even if he knows English you still won't be able to understand a word he says.

          Good luck in America Valuev.

I had Ruiz ahead by a round, but again, I'm not asking with regard to his ability or based on what happened tonight.

I'm asking about King's motives, and if anyone thinks Valuev can sell tickets and PPV's to casual and new fans in North America based on his freakish size, and with consideration to the general disinterest in Heavweight boxing in North American sports at present.

this would be about money.it don't matter what the hardcore boxing fan thinks, there's not much money there. its the general public with the money.

kings spent a lot of time in germany recently.more than enough time to scam the scene.i bet he smells freshly printed moola.

not farfetched to think of a msg ppv circus starring toney/valuev.

I'll put it this way: he's got my attention. The only heavyweights I wanna see are Toney, Rahman, Brewster, Williams, and maybe this guy
