Most champions get stripped after a while anyway, they can't and shouldn't have to fight all of the orgs usually garbage mandatories. Nothing new here, fans will still recognise the true champ they don't need the belts to know.

wow, so no unifications at all? this stops the momentum the MW and SBW divisions were having. the martinez/chavez winner isn't going to fight golovkin in fear of being stripped (if it's martinez, it's like doing this whole cycle again). the moreno/mares winner won't fight the winner of donaire/nishioka. someone needs to put the wbc out of business. they are destroying this sport with these ******ed moves. i never wish death upon anyone, but if something unfortunate happens to sulaiman or his employees, they deserve it.

Garcia and Ward, both unified champs, are both potentially going to be stripped of the WBC titles but Floyd holds the WBC 147 strap and WBA 154 strap, yet no mention of stripping him (BTW, champions that go to jail are to be stripped of their belt, according to the WBC rules ). If you're going to strip one fighter, at least be fair across the board and do it to all of them. Just goes to show you that money talk$.

I'm in favor of any champ trashing these corrupt sanctioning bodies belts. It's ridiculous that you have to pay money to keep something you won in the first place.

There are different rules for the Cash Cows of boxing. Pac & Floyd call the shots and most so-called organizations will be happy to even make belts for them.
That's how the Diamond belt came into existence -- Pac got one first, then Floyd got one.

martinez was given one, and nonito is fighting for one in his next fight. they're a joke making different belts, handing out some for no reason, and then suddenly they strip their fighters for unifying. like i said in my previous post, i hope someone runs the wbc out of business. they're a cancer to boxing.
