My experience at Ward/Dawson last night

I made the drive from Sacramento to Oakland to watch my first live professional fight.

Great experience. When Ward first knocked Dawson down the crowd erupted.

I paid $60 dollars for tickets in the high levels but I noticed that the $300 seats were fairly empty so I just sat there.

I saw Adrien Broner and shook his hand, he had the softest most feminine hands i've ever felt. I tried to get a picture but security whisked him away. He returned 10 mins later with some food in his hand, some guy asked for one of his chicken wings and Broner gave him some. Class act.

I saw Andre Berto too, there was a big crowd gathering around him asking him for pictures and autographs. He clearly didn't enjoy it, he took every picture with an ugly mug on his face so I didn't even bother asking him for one.

After the fight was over I saw Nonito Donaire walking with his wife. I yelled for his attention and he stopped. He probably thought I was going to ask him for a picture but instead I asked "when are you finally going to fight Rigondeaux?" He chuckled and walked away. lol

    Pictures coming soon.

    Did Broner look paranoid?

So much for Oakland would be the better revenue, dude can;t even sell out in his own hometown.

You are now my idol in these forums. Never thought anyone would actually do that to a professional boxer. Thought they would be scared of getting punched or something.

        Looking forward to the pics.

to be fair, man, donaire is a former flyweight. he's a little baby of a man. if you got a hold of him there wouldnt be a damn thing he could do. those guys uusally dont have an alpha male mentality, even the punchers. the reality is that donaire's power would look ordinary at 130 or 140 lbs.

it happens to them constantly. it's a lot more common on twitter, but people are very bold and rude to these guys, even in person.

HW are alpha males. they're a dying breed, and mostly fat at the club level, but they're still alpha males. if you insulted a HW he'd be much more likely to get in your face.

These are pics of the big screen. I was there too. Me and my wife though saw a totally different venue then you apparently because we were talking about how Ward brought a good crowd. The nosebleeds were fairly empty but down below was packed
