I could have sworn those HBO announcers said he had never lost a fight in his life...

I do believe they said that..However, I don't think it was deliberate/intentional. They have spoken numerous times about Ward not losing since he was 12, as have other networks. It's pretty common knowledge in the boxing world. The ring commentators slip up a lot, that's all I think it was.

yeah kinda...because it seems like it was mentioned multiple times and they went out of their way to mention it...and it was obviously not true to any boxing fan. i'm just curious as to whether or not it was an accident

larry merchant was the man who said it, if i remember correctly

he's 81 and has been senile for many decades now. he also drinks enough to be known as "vodkabreath."

i wouldn't put a ton of stock into what that man has got to say.

I actually think they did say since he was 12 on HBO also. I wasnt paying attention much. Im pretty sure they said 12 though and then went on about being undefeated. Maybe the stuff before 12 was some other kinda stuff........lol

honeslty, you're talking about a 12 year old. the times he loses boxing matches at that stage honeslty have no bearing.
