Andre Ward is a complete fighter, people say he has no power but he can knock out world class opponents, He has the stamina to go the distance, He is durable and can take Jake La Mottaesque abuse in the ring but his great foot and head movement prevent that from needing to happen, Lets be honest the guy has a great set of whiskers, He is a "Complete" fighter, The real deal.

I think against someone like Marvin Hagler who was a horrific power puncher with a good jaw someone who could take punches to through punches but could be outboxed, outworked and outmaneuvered , Andre Ward would have taken him to school and back.

Ofcourse because Hagler is a name from the past everyone or almost everyone is going to be all over Haglers nuts because he is a name from the past, People falsely assume because someone had glory in the past years of boxing they are better than a fighter of similar calibre from todays era, This is just totally flawed thinking. Take Rocky Marciano, I think he was grossly and still is grossly over-rated, People fail to take account of the blatant corruption that happened in those days and little attempt was made to hide it. Could it be that names from the past had it easier because they did not have the technology and tough training regimes of the modern era? Or that they had their Mafia bosses ply the commissioners and referees with women, alcohol and envelopes full of cash??

Its not that people pick boxers in the past for sake of past, its because if you take your head out your ass and look at the "martial art" in the boxing
You can EASLIY see the high level of mastery boxers had back then.

Also they use to be tougher and there lifestyle allowed them to get stronger!

Back then boxers actualy went to the mountians and where more intuned with nature which allowed them to have a high level of concentration.

Or they came up from the streets which jacked up there reaction sense they had to be alert from danger instead of complaining on facebook about the calories content of there protien shake!

Now a days boxers sit on there ass and twitter or facebook outside the gym, They can eat healthy and organic all they want but they dont have the rythem old school boxers acquired when they lived a more natural life!
