Is Chad Dawson's loss severely overhyped?

Chad Dawson has only loss one time....Why are some acting as if Ward is leaps and bounds above Dawson in terms of boxing ability? Dawson's resume supersedes as a pro. He had one bad night against PASCAL in QUEBEC and all of a sudden he lacks talent and mental toughness? A fight Where he fought an extremely awkward fighter and he was cut for the first time in a while?

Come on....Dawson is going to be competitive.......Ward was touched by Abraham.....So someone who has been in there with TARVER, JOHNSON, Hopkins 6x is going to be stopped by a fighter with 13 kos in 25 fights???

I think Dawson has some mental issues going on that we don't know about, but when he's focused, he's pretty unbeatable. He only lost to Pascal because his focus was scattered and he got cut. If you watch the last part of the fight again you see pretty clearly that Dawson was about to stop Pascal. He was turning it on. I don't take that loss seriously at all - other than evidence of Dawson's lack of focus. He can't make that mistake against Ward.

Who said he lacked talent? No matter how good Chad is or isnt. Hes still not a better fighter than Ande Ward is. It will show tonight.

That was a pretty clear cut loss though.

So what it was in Quebec? That had nothing to do with the outcome. Dawson has talent but his loss to Pascal is very important as it shows how Dawson can be beat and if there is someone who can do it again its Ward.

Also, several of the known fighters that Dawson beat were all up there in age and some gave him trouble.

Still, Dawson does have talent and is the bigger guy .... I'm hoping that Dawson can pull it together in this fight and that we get to see a great fight.

Not at all, he should have beaten him easily

He somehow got out worked by a fighter who fought in spirts. It showed a complete lack of drive

How is he not as good as Andre Ward?......At one point, he was considered best pure boxer outside of Mayweather.... I could understand him being on a roll, but where was all of the talk about Ward before Kessler( I picked Ward to beat kessler). Now Chad is not on the same level as WARD?

Based on him beating Bika, Froch, Kessler, Abraham

-Kessler was so over rated it was ridiculous
-Froch is not even in the same league as Dawson
              -BIKA is a club fighter...
-Abraham is small for 168 and not in Dawson league

Dawson has been in with fighters who were at the pinnacle of the sport and is the naturally bigger man with arguably the same attributes. Dawson in my opinion has more power.

At this point, the question should be is Ward ready for Dawson.

dawson was on his way of knocking pascal out. Jean was hanging on to dear life and i honestly think pascal did that headbutt intentionally due to him noticing that he was fading and chad was about to drop him. a loss is a loss but also have to remember that it didnt go the distance due to the cut so that puts an asterisk of "we dont know what wouldve happen"

I agree with Juandabomb 100% Chad had literally made Pascal stop.....He had him finished and the cut finished the fight...
