Both Ward and Dawson always bring their children to their fights. I'm sure they don't give a damn what I think but I don't like to see children ringside.

Boxing can be quite brutal and kids don't want to see their dad get beat up. I remember when Margarito put a beating on Cotto and Cotto's kids were crying like they were attending his funeral for God's sake. I don't like to see stuff like that.....You girlfriend or wife, that's OK or if you have a teen son/daughter but no f-ucking kids and please do not bring your mom to the fight. That's just as bad.

    1. Am I the only one who feel this way?

    2. If you were a pro boxer would you bring your kids to your fights?

i dont see how bringing your mom is bad. i understand its tough on her but shes a grown woman and if she makes the decision that she can handle it i dont see how you can tell her not to come.

as for kids, thats obviously diffrent. they dont understand whats going on entirely and would probably be terrified if you got KOd not to mention traumatized.

i always feel bad when ppl get knocked out in front of their kids, for both of them. at the same time its a valuable lesson but you have to be a certain age to understand and handle it. that said i would still bring my kids to my fights straight out the baby crib, i aint getting knocked out so why not?

if ur so sure of winning a fight why not?

but for me its a bad idea, if they are like 10-15 above and loves boxing then maybe its okay..

Marquez doesn't do it. I think it's better to leave kids at home because anything can happen. Not just you, it could be a brutal fight on the undercard with one guy getting savagely beaten and bleeding like crazy. I wouldn't want my kids to see that if they're too young.

It could be a good thing for the kids. Maybe the kid(s) is rooting for dad's opponent.

"Yea! Kick his ass for spanking me the other day!"

But if dad gets KOed that a whole different story. I think that COULD be traumatizing to anyone.

Just ask Cloud and his mom what happens when you get the biggest gift of your life.

Maybe after his loss and being knocked down three times Dawson won't bring his kids to the fights anymore.

It's definitely bad to have your mom ringside. If you tell her not to come she should respect that.

                    No....

I get nervous and feel like shit when 1 of my favorite boxers is getting beaten... I can't image how it would be for their kids.

Cotto is notorious for doing this
