Not in this era. He never had the fanbase, or the superstar appeal to get him the overrated status that other greats of this era posses.

I give him alot of credit for his determination to succeed but as far as an all time great fighter thats ridiculous the last ten years he pissed away 2 mins of ever 3 minute round he was in. A no action boxer who abused "ring generalship" to a fault. Credit Yes!!...................pay to see him fight? NO!

who decided that he never forught grown men as an amateur? there are lots of grown men in the amateurs let alone in prison. obviouslt some have never been to prison or fought before turning pro where there are lits of ringers in every sport. he tried to teach fighters to pay attention to their own funds instead of letting someoneelse do it and the industry hated him for it. they tried everything to pull him down. he was even behond on the scorecards against de lahoya before the ko. now for me. he commited a crime and paid his debt to SOSIETY but! if he is real as they say. how about giving the people a public apology and giving each victem say a substancial amount of MONEY! give back to who he took from. still the best 169-175 fighter in the game but doesn't match up against dawson. beats kessler, frosh, ward.

His mental strength is extraordinary. He really loves boxing. You can see the joy he has when he watches cerebral fighters that box to a T like Mayweather and Ward box.
