You thought that I said Ward is #1 if he beats Dawson, when I never did. The 2nd question was which top fighter has had a better 2 years & all I heard was crickets & fancy pasting's as you beat around the bush while trying to ignore the question. You are right about 1 thing though. I shouldn't be wasting my time debating anyone that says it's a fact that Ward drained Dawson.

dawson is a FAR greater challenge and opponent than freakin Chavez.

I agree if Ward beats Dawson that win would be mutch greater than Martinez beating Chavez.Plus having the resume edge over Martinez should put him at top 2 or 3

According to him ONE pound is nothing... And 168 to 170 (which is what Dawson wanted) is 2 pounds, just saying. When you're body is acclimated to fighting at 175 then you have to drop to 168 where you haven't been in 6 years, you don't think that's gonna take its toll? Especially when you walk around what, almost 200 lbs?

He wants ward and his recognition ward is not fihting him at 170 and he agreed. ward didnt want dawsons belts then demand a catchweight.

Which top pfp fighter can you name that has had a better run in the last 2 years. Don't worry, I'll wait all year for your answer.

But lets be real here, Ward didn't challenge Dawson to a fight like ginger & Pacman do. Pacman asked for Cotto twice in 2012 & twice at mannyweights. While ginger chose Josesito.

The least Ward could have done was make the fight at 170-172 range, and if he wanted to begin his path to a great/legendary status challenge Dawson for his 175 lb title. 170-172 would be nothing for him to work up to and would give him a stronger Dawson to fight, which he obviously didn't want. To me, Dawson gets most of the respect for this fight being made, he bent to all of Wards terms to get it done.

It is still a pretty good fight, but Ward has too many advantages for me to think its a great fight. I don't see a KO in this fight, and therefore it most likely go to the cards where Ward will probably have some bias in the hometown judges and hometown crowd.

All that said, I STILL think Dawson can pull it off. If he uses his length and movement effectively he doesn't need to let Ward get inside of his range and can dictate the pace, keeping it slower which is how he prefers it.

If I had to bet, I would bet on Ward MD. But I hope Bad Chad can will himself to this win, fight smart Chad!

Not sure why Dawson constantly downplays the effort he has to make to make this catchweight. If I were him, I'd gripe up and down about how hard it is, just to make myself look like more of a bad-ass if I win (and to give myself a decent excuse if I lose). Chad's all business though, so I do have a lot of respect for him. I think he'll lose anyway, but I hope he makes it an interesting fight. I know Ward has it in him to be exciting and let loose (way down deep somewhere), so I hope Dawson can bring it out. Based on their history and styles, this might be wishful thinking though.
