When was Ray Robinson peak at MW

I know this would have been better answered in the HS but since it's slow I thought I get more answers here.

Most people think he was in his absolute prime at WW but he was still very good at MW. So I'm asking when do you think he was his best there?

He was a bit past prime so his prime at middleweight would have been when he won the tittle from LaMotto. He was 30 then and not quite as good as his welterweight days. He was small at middleweight and could probably have stayed at 147 if he wished.

Sorry, I meant his first middleweight fight with Jake LaMotta was his middleweight prime. Robinson only weighed 154 for his middleweight fight with Turpin and that was in the same day weigh in days so you can see he was a small middleweight.
