    Holyfield.
I can't believe people actually picked Roy, what a joke!

The fighter of the generation has to fight the BEST and that is exactly what Holyfield did.

    -Qawi x 2
    -Moorer x 2
    -Cooper
    -Foreman
    -Bowe x 3
    -Lewis x 2
    -Tyson x 2
    -Holmes
    -Douglas
    -Ruiz x 3
    -Byrd
    -Toney
    -Rahman
    -Mercer

I don't see how anyone can say Roy Jones Jr is the fighter of the generation, Holyfield has fought top notch his whole career, one of the best resumes in the history of the sport.

Compared to Lewis? Nope. Lewis you could argue fought older versions of fighters (Tyson, Holyfield, Tua) and had a glass jaw.

And I think people look at Tyson's popularity too and factor that in when voting.

PS: I couldn't put anyone else in (only 9 options) with an "other" option too. I just took out Holmes and placed Whitaker there.

Tyson's prime had a high point of beating a LT Heavyweight who was petrifed of him coming off a year layoff and a former great in Holmes coming off two years inactivity.

On top of that, he lost the biggest fights of his career and proved he was not capeable of overcoming adversity.

Tyson is not the best fighter of the last generation. Anyone who thinks so is firmly attached to his sack, and knows little to nothing about boxing.

Look at the other names on the list people are skipping to vote for Tyson.

      It's a joke.

Tyson making the list with Ricardo Lopez left off is bad enough as it is, but the fact anyone would actually think he's the greatest fighter of his generation shows why there should be some kind of screening process to be able to get an account on a boxing website.

I am actually now split between Lewis and Holyfield.

Lewis wins though a little, since he did the right thing by retiring a champion.

Look how big Lewis is and look how small Holyfield is, and look at the level of competition...

Exactly, he also beat a WAY younger version of Tyson...
When he fought Lewis, he was out of his prime by a landslide.

Why is there no James Toney in the poll?

Why did so many people vote for Jones? I thought he lost to all the best LHWs he fought with.

Please note that if you're voting for Tyson, you're doing so because you're a cheerleader, and that you should be ashamed of yourslef.

This isn't asking "Who is your favorite..."

It's asking who was the best fighter of this last generation.

Tyson isn't even the best Heavyweight of the last generation.

Some of you need to pull your heads out of your asses.
I voted for Tyson buttercup. In my opinion, he created the most attention to boxing in the last 25 years. And thats probably more of a fact than an opinion. Not to mention he was more than good.
