Summarize boxing what it means/your take on it.

Ex - Boxing is a metaphor for life, the struggle, up and downs, heart and courage it takes to become victorious

Feel free to post your favorite quotes as well mines in my sig',
this is all just to show appreciation for the sport.

I once heard Bruce Lee say that "fighting is the truest expression of one'self" I never understood what that meant until I was in a really tough fight when I was competing.

Boxing is being stripped completely down to your bare soul and not being able to hide or fake anything. It's the real you, your true self. Some won't understand this but those who have fought will.

Have never boxed although I have done alot of training, not specific to boxing but many related excersizes, worked on pads, bags, ropes, realy enjoy the training and mainly I like the discipline and camaradarie that come with intense workouts.

Boxing to me means hit and dont get hit.

Im 40 now and would actually like to have a fight just to experience it.

To make it in boxing in this day & age, you better get the eye of some powerful people, or else you'll have an average career at best.

Boxing is the most emotionally driven sport in the history of mankind. It puts the entire body to work, it's a measure of skill, will, and intelligence. Once the bell rings you can't lie anymore.

It's a drug that is so hard to get off of.

Boxing can be summarized in 3 words:
                Bull**** and politics
