A new fight is being negotiated. WBO super flyweight champion Omar Narvaez (36-1-3, 19KOs) was involved in discussions to defend his title against Juan Jose Montes, but Mexican promoter Hector Garcia informs BoxingScene.com that Narvaez-Montes is not going to happen. Instead, one of Garcia's other boxers, Oscar Blanquet (32-4-1, 23KOs), is now in position to fight Narvaez in mid-October in Argentina.
