    Hatton v Stewart ?

Who the *** is Ricky fighting? and is he decent opposition?

By the fact I never heard of Mike Stewart I take it he is a mexican road sweeper so to speak.....

Is RH gonna fight a decent fighter soon or is he forever gonna be known as one of the best UK fighters that never fought anyone.

Stewart fought Sharmba Mitchell on the undercard of Ricky Hatton vs. Dennis Pederson (Kelson Pinto's fill-in) on a Showtime card this year.

He went down a couple times and lost handlily to Mitchell. After the fight, they talked to Sharmba about fighting Hatton and he said, "From what I heard, I just did. These guys are supposed to be about the same."

He's a white guy from Eastern US.

Hatton and Warren need to grow a pair and stop fighting Sharmba Mitchell leftovers.

Stewart wasn't even competative in his step up fight with Mitchell

The guy is a good family man from what I've read, he's a full-time truck driver who trains right after 5pm, gets home and have dinner with his kids. No disrespect but he also spent some time "in there" so I reckon he's also one tough SOB! A win over Ricky however remote will see his stock skyrocket...earning him another big payday.

Another reason why Hatton should drop his promoter Warren. Unless this proposed matchup with Cotto materializes, Hatton should look for another handler. He should step up by now.

I'll echo that one, Ricky has to step up the plate and fight real competition. What's the point of fighting nobodies. Fight the likes of Cotto, Gatti, Tszyu and Mayweather. Then we can mention the name Ricky Hatton at the same breath as these guys.
