Comments Thread For: Josesito Keeping a Tight Diet To Retain Weight For Canelo

WBC silver welterweight champion Josesito Lopez (30-4, 18KOs) has been sticking to a strict regimen of nutrition to gain weight and beef up for his bout against WBC junior middleweight champon Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (40-0-1, 29KOs) on September 15th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Lopez will be moving up in weight for the second time in two fights. He wants to be extra strong for the bout with Canelo, who is regarded as one of the strongest boxers at 154. In his June fight against Victor Ortiz, Lopez came from behind to break Ortiz's jaw for a ninth round TKO. [Click Here To Read More]

It's almost tragic, the state of boxing. That we have to rely on an outmatched jr welterweight to try & overthrow a pampered ,protected jr middleweight world champion.

This is such a travesty in boxing. How ridiculous is it that a smaller guy has to eat more just to be able to make the weight to face a much bigger opponent? This just goes to show how much of a protected and advantageous fighter Canelo is. Lopez is a winner no matter what for taking this fight but it wasn't a good move on his part.

Canelo and Chavez have to meet up

These two mexican babies need to face each other at a set weight on fight day say 168 lbs. enough of this protecting the mexican little babies.

I don't know... can't believe i'm content with paying for a fight instead of watching a free one.

Someone must have forgotten to tell a certain somebody that there are no height classes. Rather transparent post here.
