Team Sauerland is delighted to announce the signing of Danish amateur star and 2012 Olympian Dennis Ceylan. The 23-year-old will be competing at the Nordic Fight Night series, with his debut set for September 22 at Frederikshavn´s Arena Nord. “I am excited to turn professional and fight for Team Sauerland,” Ceylan said. “I am ready for a new challenge.”
Ceylan, an accomplished Scandinavian and Danish champion, clinched a place in the Olympic tournament (bantamweight). Luck was not on his side as he was handed a tough draw, losing to later silver medal winner John Joe Nevin in the first round. “Travelling to the Olympics was an unforgettable experience,” Ceylan said. “Of course I had hoped for a better finish but now I will fully concentrate on my new career as a professional.
