    Comments Thread For: Dmitry Pirog Not Surprised WBO Took Away His Title

    A few days ago, the World Boxing Organization (WBO) took away the middleweight title from Dmitry Pirog (20-0, 15KOs). His championship position was taken by 28-year-old French boxer, Hassan N’Dam N’jikam, who until now was promoted as the interim champion. N'Jikam will now defend his title against undefeated Peter Quillin on October 20th in Brooklyn, New York.

                  He's supposed to be out until next year so it sounds like his injury is pretty bad. This is what interm belts are supposed to be for though, champions getting injured. HNN vs Quillin should be for the interm belt they shouldn't have stripped him.

                              Pirog wanted to bring him over to Russia and HBO wouldn't broadcast the fight.
