chavez sr is right... and he forgot to mention that it was the best version of martinez... martinez was relentless in destroying goat farmers and cab drivers back in his heyday...

Do people and Jr realize that the magarito fight was 12.5 years ago ?

Magarito in his early days was a menacing beast and sergio was pretty green and still developing as a fight.
And as we have seen he continues to improve his technique.

If Jr looks at the magarito fight and thinks that is the martinez is fighting he is dumber then he looks (and that says alot)

People are putting way to much into that loose over a decade ago

I bet dudes who fought Manny after he was KO'd by them forgotten souls THOUGHT that they'd be able to jab him unconscious or break his will and flatten his wheels with a single body shot...I bet some where in their minds they THOUGHT it was sweet....until those guns start firing and those bullets started bouncing off their faces....left hand choppers just chopping dudes up...so its cool to THINK a certain way if it helps your confidence...but once fight night comes around, they'll see that Maravilla is a far BETTER fighter than the one that got ran over by Marg

side note....dudes be going in on Marg about the wraps....thats expected, but don't forget to mention that dude's CHIN...that was something to behold....can't plaster that!!!!...dude broke dude's will/spirits by taking their BEST shots without blinking....gave me the chills just watching it...so I know his opponents must've felt a certain way

Margarito was a piece of **** who simply cheated, and the second he was found out, ****** a** and got dominated from then on out without his unfair advantage to carry him. Sergio by Pavlik-esque domination.
Exactly. Margacheato prob had loaded gloves when he beat serg

Couldn't have said it better myself Sekondz. I'm actually surprised by the amount of hype Chavez Jr is getting. Don't get me wrong, he has improved, but against who? People act like this kid has been fighting killers. His best win is over a prospect in Andy Lee. Andy Lee man!! A dude that looks great in camp and is said to dominate in sparring but doesn't bring it to the ring. Chavez is gonna have to fight the fight of his life and hope Martinez is off that night to pull off a win.

It's asking way to much of him and he will break down mentally before the 1st round is over. You can see it just watching the 1st episode of 24/7. He looked afraid of Martinez just sitting in front of him. He will lose his nerve if he has any shortly after the bells rings...and Martinez will just pick him apart. I don't expect it go very long...nor do I expect the old man to sit and watch his son getting beaten up...Senior will be the one telling his corner to stop it. Jr will get his payday and retire...the scam is just about over now.

Not to mention...he has hardly spent any time at all with Roach preparing for this and doesn't even appear to have 12 rounds in him period.
I honestly can see Chavez Sr. yelling at Roach to stop the fight before the 10th round. Chavez Jr. is going to get the beating of a lifetime. Chavez Sr. is emotionally intact to this fight n will not allow his son to take punishment. There is absolutely only one way Chavez wins. And thats by the judges in another highway robbery scam courtesy of Bob Arum. Simple as that, only way Chavez wins. Chavez fans r on a high horse after he beat Lee. But lets be real here. I think Chavez Sr. could punch harder right now than Lee did. Lee had absolutely no power whatsoever. Like Roach said we all saw the concern on Roachs face, 'Martinez is a different kind of animal'.

U nailed it bro. Didn't Manny Pacquiao get knocked out early in his career??? Its the same ****. Martinez didn't start boxing til he was 20 years old. So if it happened like 12 years ago, so he was only 25ish or around there. Still a developing boxer. Completely different fighter now.
