Comments Thread For: K2's Loeffler Ready To Make Geale-Golovkin Unification

Tom Loeffler, the managing director of K2 Promotions, is ready to match his boxer, IBO/WBA "regular" champion Gennady Golovkin (24-0, 21KOs), against the IBF/WBA "super" champion Daniel Geale (28-1, 15KOs).

Golovkin torches Geale. God of War is the type of fighter that gets ducked for most of his career. WAYYYYY TOO much risk not enough reward for these so called "champs". We shall see.

The MW division is where it's at right now, my favorite division along with 154.

God, I hate this "Super champion" BS. As for Geale-Golovkin, it would be a good fight, I'm still not certain how good Gennady is, but Geale would seem tailor made for him.

Geale seems like the type who would jump on this opportunity, as long as he is well compensated. He's no ducker like Sturm.

TBH I think his reward VALUE is going up. But probably too slow for his age, he's already 30. Sucks they're not even gonna give Geale an easy defense first. Have this fight on HBO again and GGG's stock will shoot up big time.

brutalizing geale won't mean much, but it will be nice to see these "champions" so willing to fight each other.

geale is tough and behaves professionally. he's in shape and he fights a 12 round pace. he's been in there with some guys ... ( .)

that said, he's a woeful talent, and hardly a stylist. he won't put up much of a fight in terms of being a threat to win, even if he proves to be durable. sturm was a name in the division for some time. geale beat him. i can respect that he's getting a big fight now.

stoppage in a fight that i'd rather not see given other alternatives, but that i wont complain about, given that i'm so excited to see golovkin fight again, and also given that that geale just beat sturm who was "ranked" highly by most.

additionally, when the best fighter you've fought is greg proksa, you've got to figure that having another fight to work on some things will do him some good, even if he is 30 and should really be moving on to the big names at this stage.

It unifies a few of the belts, so that's good. If the winner then fights the winner of Martinez-Chavez Jr. we can have a unified, undisputed middleweight champion.

That's something positive for the sport I think.

That would be good for GGG's career. The more titles he has, the more incentive for other champs to fight him.

Agree with the above.........except Golovkin stops geale in 4

The man has as much power in his jab as most middleweights have in hooks and crosses
