From the little I know about him, he beat a couple of cans and had a career-threatening fight against a non-contender.

you think vassily jirov is a non contender. He's a gold medalist, his held a world title at cuirserweight and gave james toney a run for his money. Give jirov time he'll be a heavyweight contender. As for Mesi he beat devaryl williamson who beat corey sanders, oliver mccall and who gave wlad klitchko a hard time. Mesi also beat jirov whos no joke and monte barret who defeated the supposed next great heavyweight dominik guinn. In the heavyweight division as it is all mesi needed was a shot and he could have been a champ. I believe he will eventually be approved to fight but i dont think he should risk his health any further.Comment

Most of the poeple who think Mesi sucks are the same that thought Dominick was good. I said from the start that Guinn was a lazy bum and nobody believed me until he lost to a nobody.
When the doctors clear Mesi to fight, I garuantee he'll make it further than Guinn ever could.Comment
