How high (weigh) can Ward be effective?

Roy Jones Debut 154 ---------- Success to 200+
James Toney Debut 160 ---------Success to 200+
Bernard Hopkins Debut 177 (but as low as 160) ----------- Success to 175

Do you think Ward can climb the ranks and have the sort of success like that?

How would Ward do against USS Cunningham at 200 for example?

Could he eventually do what Jones and Toney did? Go to heavyweight?

Ward (if he can be effective at 200+) Vs David Haye, anyone?

    what do you think?

ward is a good fighter but i don't think he has the strength or the punch to hold off a full blooded CW like haye or mormeck. remember that ward does like to gight on the inside and I think that even B class fighters like cunningham would KO him.

I think ward will go up to LHW and thats it.

You have to realize that RJJ was a once in a generation fighter.

Ward will eventually move to LHW and should not struggle but CW would probably be too much for him physically. Then again the CW division is the weakest between SMW and CW and that could prove to be a big factor in his favour.

        How tall is Ward?

To me he looks completely filled out at 168, he can probably go up one class though.

It's important to remember that they were both steroid takers.

he won a gold medal at 178,5 in the ams and has said they do have to work to make it down to 168 so i think he would be good at 175 too. at CW he could beat some lesser or stylisticly fitting fighters but not a be a real force and take on anyone at the weight.

roy chose his fights carefully above 175, toney was able to fight whoever wherever but hes a special fighter. his skills and talent allowed him to do several things other fighters even great ones wouldnt be able to get away with. also lets keep in mind toney moving up had alot to do with laziness, that wont be a problem with ward.

I'd say he will top out as a world class fighter at 175.
