Well they wanted Cotto because out of Marquez and Bradley he brought in more money but they know the risk of fighting Cotto at his full weight and wanted none of that. Cotto is smart because if he wins big against Trout he will still have the same options he has today but the fights will be bigger.

I respect Cotto for taking a fight with Trout because he simply doesn't have to. He could just jump into the ring with Canelo/Pac for $$$. This is the first time that a 154lb top-earner has given one of the younger guys a chance.

Love this fight - classic veteran vs prospect match-up. The veteran isn't done just yet and the prospect is ready for the challenge. Can't ask for too much more. Nothing against Trout, but I'll be cheering for Cotto once again.
