So this means that ticket sales were not so good then.

A 'back' issue is always a good way out. Promoter slips him $20k & the fight goes on at a better date/venue.

Where CAN this fight even do decent ticket sales? They are both boring. Bailey may be KO King but everything before the KO is ZzzzzzZz

his is an undercard fight anyway. I hope an extra camp doesn't slow down Bailey, he is up there in age

            Mr Dog,

They are not boring to me. Alexander has skills & Bailey has punching power.

If you're only interested in the p4p top 10 then, yeah, they're boring but I love watching boxers from all areas, geographically & career-wise.

But in terms of box office, yes they're really really ****ing boring outside of St Louis. Bailey has to realise this & have a contract which includes a rematch it he loses by decision in St Louis.

But this fight will only sell in Alexanders hometown.

@ Taansend.... Excellent point - that's the insight that makes the real sense to me. Exactly one week before the fight etc. Especially how Lou was reassuring the boxing public that he wasn't too injured....most likely Bailey could be faking a back "strain" for those type of inside reasons - But hell, I'd be more excited for Oct 20th - anyway.

As long as Olesugun/Matthysse is still a go won't give it a second thought
