Cotto can pick up his belt and make his fight with Canelo in May a unification bout. Good decision by Miguel, told Manny to shove his CW.

Awesome. Much rather see this than Pac/Cotto II. Good move, Cotto. Just hope we don't see some bull**** result like we did with Bradley/Pacquiao.Comment

Cotto is the biggest name of them all.. BUT those are great, very expected fights. Cotto/Trout will not even match Chavez/Martinez number. You can bet on that.Comment

Well let's see what the undercard will be but Cotto alone at this point does over 300K guranteed. Chavez-Martinez will have to go H2H with Canelo on Showtime so that will take a chunk of their numbers.Comment

Having a thin resume doesn't mean he sucks. Sergio had a terrible resume till Cintron or PWill. Russell, Demetrius Andrade, Golovkin all have terrible resumes. Same for Ward and Dirrell going into S6.trout is garbage, period,,just because he has a belt and is undefeated doesn't mean he's a good fighter, look at chavez, for me to say a guy is a good fighter i look at the opponents he has faced, and trout has a bunch of nobodies on his list, heck i doubt he has ever even faced an ex world champion much less a champion at the moment he fought,,,like i said, when he was mentioned as canelo's opponent people were saying he was garbage, lets see if those same people say the same nowComment

True, but I do have a hunch this will be on Showtime, at least the way Golden Boy and Showtime are getting very chummy these days. Maybe put this bout on CBS? Cotto is a big enough name and Trout will provide good competition. Give it a good undercard and why not?Comment

True...Let's see what happens!
Chavez-Martinez will be amazing. Can't wait.
The middleweight clash between WBC champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (46-0-1, 32KOs) and challenger Sergio Martinez (49-2-2, 28KOs) continues to be a hot, hot ticket. The September 15th event, taking place at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, is on track to have a potential paid attendenace figure of 18,000 or more.Comment
