Is Mike Jones ungrateful for trying to break ties with Top Rank?

Here's a list of things Top Rank has done for him.

-Tons and tons of PPV exposure, fighting under names like Cotto, Margarito, Pacquiao, Donaire

    -Headlining a few cards himself

-Marked him as the next big thing at WW, despite him being feather fisted and boring

-Carefully selected his opponents for sure wins

    -Hefty paydays

-Probably a lot more that I'm forgetting

Now he gets knocked the **** out by Randal Bailey and will now most likely run to TMT with his tail tucked between his legs?

For those who don't know what happened, here's the article.

Top welterweight contender Mike Jones (26-1, 19KOs) has joined the recent string of fighters who are attempting to break their existing promotional agreements. Jones was last seen in action in the month of June on the Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley undercard at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where the Philadelphia boxer suffered his first pro defeat when Randall Bailey knocked him out in the eleventh round.

What do you think? Is this as bad as Vargas leaving Mayweather Promotions to join Top Rank?

He owes more to Russel Peltz than he does Top Rank, if not for Peltz it is doubtful Jones even gets to Top Rank~

So I care about how he treats him, not how he treats Johnny Come Lately~

Regardless of who got him to Top Rank, TR sure did do their best to get him tons of exposure and lots of TV time. Not sure how much he was getting paid, maybe that's the issue, but as far as promoting him goes TR did their jobs well for Mike Jones.

Not sure what anyone else can offer him, maybe better paydays, idk, but I wish him luck.

pretty sure that went both ways man. Lots of TR fighters went to Golden Boy and vice versa. It's the name of the game.

He sure was on his way to becoming one.....

I think you could name more good things that Top Rank has done for him than bad things. It's kinda hard to promote the tall dude with a huge reach advantage who gasses in the middle rounds, all while being a feather fisted borefest.
