I think it had more to do with King being black and flamboyant and winning at a game that some white people felt only they should win at. I think Cotto already said no (maybe because couldnt agree on a weight) and this is Arums way of justifying why the fight will not happen beforehand. Arum is scum. Like someone posted before, now that hes ancient and senile, he speaks his mind more without filters.
