Comments Thread For: Arum Receives Cotto's Terms, Pacquiao Decision Looms

Top Rank's CEO, Bob Arum, spoke to BoxingScene.com about the current status of Manny Pacquiao's December ring return.

In a recent BoxingScene article, Ronnie Nathanielsz reported that Top Rank had tentative agreements in place with Juan Manuel Marquez and Timothy Bradley - and they were simply waiting to receive the terms from Miguel Cotto's camp in order for Pacquiao to make a final decision on who his opponent will be.

Arum showing his true colours. He's not much of a Cotto fan now that Cotto isn't is his fighter. Sure, there's some truth to some of what he's saying about Cotto's losses and bounce back fights, but he would present it in a much more positive and respectful (to Cotto) light if Cotto were still his fighter. Shamelss putz.

yeah but the problem with scumbag bob's theory about cotto fighting easy opponents after loses is the fact that he promoted those fights and i don't recall him having a problem with the selection then and that's because they all were his fighters. once again this scumbag shows why he's a world class cretin.

LLS damn Arum is really starting to finally shoot straight from the hip about certain things when it suits his agenda. So now Yuri Foreman was a bum but back then Arum would have everyone believe that Yuri was a hell of a fighter and Cotto was taking on a tough challenge for a comeback fight. Arum has no filter or boundaries the man is about money and will step on anyone to get as much as he can.

I hope Cotto's terms are not on some cave in to Manny's demands type of stuff. If Cotto was still under Top Rank those quotes about Manny beating the hell out of Cotto and Cotto taking on weak opponents after losses would be totally different. Cotto I hope you been woke up and smelled the coffee about Arum before this!

Wow, arum is really a piece of work. So Cotto has a reputation for easy fights after losses. But didn't arum promote him in all those fights??

Furthermore fighters usually do not want to fight guys that beat the crap outa them?? I agree, especially when that guy continually want weight advantages. Funny enough arum simply forgot to mention that.

Don't most fighters take easy fights coming off a loss?
