Best I've faced Freddie Roach.
BEST OVERALL: Hector Camacho
The most complete overall boxer that I've ever fought in my career was Hector Camacho. His speed was tough to deal with and he had a lot of boxing ability. I trained to punch with him, and he would come in, throw a combination but when I threw one back, he would be 10 feet away from me. This would be after he hit me with three or for shots. His perpetual motion was tremendous, and he was just too quick for me.*
BEST BOXER: Camacho
That would Prbly be camacho again. He wasn't a big puncher, but everything else he did great. He had speed, fast feet, fast hands, good head movement. If Hector *Camacho had stayed clean he could have been one of the best fighters in the sport P4P for all time, I think.*
BEST CHIN: Greg Haugen
That would be Greg Haugen. When I hit him with some solid shots he was right there punching back. He was just a very very durable guy I thought I could break him down but he broke me down.*
BEST JAB: Andy Nance*
That would be Andy nance. You know what? He hit me with a jab in the first round and it hurt me. Now I was a tough guy and I had a good chin. So I was like what's this guy got rocks in his gloves or something? That's what I was saying to myself. He just had a very very strong hard jab.*
Best puncher: LENNY VALDEZ
The best puncher was Lenny Valdez. He was very dangerous guy for the first 3 rounds a I found out about that in the second round. That was my first time ever going down in my life, and it changed my life completely I thought being knocked out was impossible before that.*
BEST DEFENSE: Mario Chavez
*Mario Chavez was a very very defensive fighter that I fought early in my career. I remember when I fought him that I saw the right hand opening do I fired the right hand as hard as I could and he dipped his head and I hit him on the forehead. He just baffled me with his defense. He used his forehead to break my hand. The thing was I was shooting for the chin and he was always well aware of what I was up to. He was a very very intelligent fighter with good defense. Not a person that a lot of people would know but he was a very very tough guy to hit.*
FASTEST FEET: Camacho*
That would have to be Camacho again. He just had unbelievable in and out motion. By the time you swing back at him he would be 10 feet away from you. He wouldn't be just slightly out of range he would be way out of range. I mean his feet were unbelievable.*
FASTEST HANDS: CAMACHO
That would be Camacho again and I'm sorry. But he would land a 3 or 4 punch combination and that would be before I could get one back.*
STRONGEST: TOMMY CORDOVA
Tommy Cordova was like Aaron Pryor, a white Aaron Pryor he just kept coming. I mean when he got off the stool he would just run across the ring and attack you. He would maintain pressure on you. He wasn't a big puncher, but he was strong with his shoulders and would just back you up all night long. That's how he beat me.*
SMARTEST: BOBBY CHACON
That would Prbly be Bobby Chacon I knocked him down twice in the second round. And he talked him self outta getting knocked out. He said is that all you got little punk?. And I said to my self I said self maybe he's not hurt that bad. So I should have finished him off but I had doubt in my head because he asked me if that was all I had. So he basically talked him self outta being knocked out.*

Great read! Makes me want to see the Toney vs McCallum fights all over again.
Regarding Toney vs. Jones: Toney was actually hooked up to an I.V. before the fight. That's how drained he was.

Thanks man.
Why does the author feel the need to put all that bullshi t about "shane knows everyone expects the answer to be floyd". What a load of bullshi t. Shane fought plenty of hof fighters besides floyd, so ******. They didnt do that for any other fighter they spoke withz. Was that interview done by F i g h t h y p e?
Oscar was fair i think. How is he shi tting on floyd by saying pea had better defense or was a better boxer? Of course he was.Last edited by Walt Liquor; 12-12-2012, 05:43 AM.

Floyd Mayweather jr
Toughest fight: I don't really remember the people I fought. They're all the same to me.
Best boxer: Once again, when you're on the top of all of sports and is as great as I am, you don't pick up on the good things about others, but concentrate on yourself.
Best Puncher: Mosley hit me with a good shot once. I'm the best of the sport and I don't really get hit. There's nothing cool about taking shots. But you know, it comes with the territory.
Best Defense: Myself, shadow boxing in front of the mirror.
Smartest: Well.. I'm truly blessed with great ring intelligence. I'm working with great trainers like my dad and Roger and they are truly smart guys. Ellerbe as well. We are a very smart team, so I have to say myself and my team. We are the best to ever do it.
But you know, 'comes with the territory.
