What does Ward have to do to?

It doesn't seem as if consistently winning fights is enough to make Andre Ward a US star like Roy Jones Jr. or Floyd Mayweather.

The guy isn't an exciting fighter to casual fans like Jones was, he doesn't talk smack endlessly like Mayweather to increase his notoriety so is this as good as it gets for Andre?

Where can he go from here in terms of increasing his fame and financial return?

Superstardom, it's just not going to happen for him. His style is effective, very effective. But it just doesn't set pulses racing. Unfortunately he doesn't have the personality of Floyd, or even Hopkins.

He's a purists dream but in all honesty I can't see him ever being a ppv guy or making big money

I've said it before, but other than about half a dozen people online, (most of who stream fights anyway) people don't care as much about skill and sickness.

They watch boxing to be entertained.

One reason for the sport being on the rocks in America is the prevellance of the safety first style these days.

You only need look at Bradley vs Alexander, 2 young unbeaten American champions, but no ****er paid to watch them

    People want blood, knockdowns, violence.

Wards style is all about preventing his opponents from doing anything and he doesn't have the power to knock anyone out or let's be honest, even hurt them really.

He's a stifler, of other fighters and his own earning potential

Will these are the type of fights that can help your popularity and help you become a bigger star

Ward don't have to do anything but KEEP WIN and everything else will fall into place, I don't think he has to change personalities and start talking trash or showing off, the other stuff will come eventually and I think he is a type of guy that will eventually start to get endorsements and get invited to do other stuff because unlike most boxers he can SPEAK and express himself very well

Ward fame is on the rise slowly but surely...especially considering how NOBODY KNEW HIM before the Super 6 and he was a damn Olympic Gold Medal Winner, back in the day an Olympic Gold Medal for the USA was INSTANT STARDOM AND ENDORSEMENT! He did get some Endorsements after the Olympics though, he was signed to the Jordan Brand and is still with the Jordan Brand:

But Ward Career is going in the right Direction...HE IS EARNING HIS STARDOM it is not being GIVEN TO HIM like SOME OF THESE OVERRATE BUMS who have absolutely NO SKILLS!

not really it would have helped him had he fought for the LHW lineal, WBC and ring belts but of course Ward would only accept the fight at Oakland and 168

I think Ward is gonna grow into the fighter that few will actually enjoy, but everyone will respect on some level. He'll never be a huge PPV attraction, but he'll be the guy that could make your favorite fighter look ******.
