  • Comments Thread For: Carl Froch: Mack, Then Bute - And Then Hopefully Kessler

Carl Froch believes he is finally getting the credit he deserves after becoming a three-time world champion with his destruction of Lucian Bute in May.

The Nottingham veteran will make the first defence of his IBF super-middleweight title against American Yusaf Mack at the Capital FM Arena in his home city on November 17. [Click Here To Read More]

big name lol...he's only big in Nottingham..the rest of Britain hasn't got a clue who he his unless you follow boxing closely. Being 4th best in your division doesn't really warrant big name status.

By next Summer Froch's CV could look like this:

              H - R. Reid (W)
              H - J. Pascal (W)
              A - J. Taylor (W)
              H - A. Dirrell (W)
              A - M. Kessler(L)
              N - A. Abraham (W)
              N - G. Johnson (W)
              A - A. Ward (L)
              H - L. Bute (W)
              H - Y. Mack (W)
              A - L. Bute (W)
              H - M. Kessler (W?)

Froch is known to UK boxing fans, you don't necessarily have to follow the sport closely these days to know who Carl Froch is, he's all over SSN.

That's simply not true. Over the last couple of years Froch has crossed over into mainstream public appeal in the UK. Most of my friends know who he is and make some sort of effort to watch his fights on TV. None of them are hardcore boxing fans (much to my chagrin), and I live 100 miles or so from Nottingham.

Froch is one of the best and most exciting fight that have come from the UK in years.

This dudes schedule has been one of the hardest ones in recent boxing that I don't see anybody exceeding the level of competition that he has continually fought.

Froch has not been in no boring fights
