If You Were A Top Boxer, What (or Whose) Style Would You Have?

I boxed between the ages of about 11 & 13 & my style was to close my eyes, throw weak punches & get knocked down a lot. I think Amir Khan uses a similar style today (ha, that's a joke. I'm a fan before some kids get indignant).

But if I was a man with the ability, discipline, skill, luck & whatever other attributes you need to get to the top, I think I'd like to be a smooth boxer who could mix it up when needed.

Most like Sugar Ray Leonard (who was at his prime during my teens - which is when I find a lot of favourites are formed). You could also add Colin McMillan to that list as I thought he was great while coming up - although it obviously didn't pan out (he COULDN'T mix it up when needed!!!)

I'd much rather bamboozle an opponent than beat the **** out of them

ZCM, that's funny as you have Duran in your picture - just about as opposite from Floyd as you can get (in terms of attitude).

For winning, I'd have a mix of B-Hop's and Mayweather's styles.

For entertaining, I'd have the style of Oscar De La Hoya or Saul Alvarez.

It'd be fun to be a big destroyer like George Foreman too.

                Piss Off

You can't pick half a dozen fighters.

                CHOOSE ONE, Mr Smalls....

                    roberto duran

3 division champion if i could make LHW in my early 20's

                    ideally of course.

would go from LHW to cruiser and finish as a HW. **** cruiserweight. i would not stay there for long, even if i could probably make the weight until i hit 30.
