Boxing is built around fighters who put Butts in the seats, period! Without money, there is no Boxing. And money comes from fighters with a following. There is NO WAY IN HELL fans would EVER salivate over Abril vs Alvarado. Fans want feverishly pitched wars. Boxers and Punchers who are scintillating in the drama they produce. THAT is what drives Boxing and fills seats. Guys like Mallinaggi, Salida, Abril, etc., don't fill stadiums. That is how it is.

Rios can talk trash with the best of them, but he's proven to be nothing more than an ESPN Friday Night Fights fighter. He's not dominating anyone. He's just trying to get positioned for a big paycheck.

Exactly! It is not even up for debate that he is one of the most exciting fighters in Boxing. He gives every ounce of him in every fight, win, lose, or draw.....he brings it! And if Alvarado vs Rios is a War, neither guy will really lose. These type of fighters will go out on their shield and that is more than a lot of fighters who quit when a fight gets tough.
