HBO should have done a 24/7 for Rios/Alvarado instead of Ward/Dawson

they're putting these two on 24/7 to get people used to viewing them as two of the big names in the sport

lol man, boxing fans have huge standards and needs apparently.
"It's so boring, bla bla bla".
Me personally, I love to watch anything boxing related, especially if it involves elite fighters. Now, I did find the Ward/Dawson 24-7 dull when they showed their families and personal lives, but I did enjoy the training and talk of the fight from them and their trainers. Do you guys need a Jersey Shore style of reality show to maintain interest? Go watch VH1 or MTV. You want nothing but training and sparring footage? Number of youtube videos out there that can accommodate those needs. 24/7 is more or less created to be somewhere in the middle, just to get some hype rolling for the up and coming fights they chose to highlight.Last edited by _original_; 08-27-2012, 07:55 AM.

I personally liked the Ward/Dawson24/7. Especially listening to Ward's trainer Virgil Hunter. Didn't find it boring at all. Funny thing is though when folks act like fools they are called, fake thugs, ****** and wannabe rappers. But then folks complain and b!t(h when that is not what is put on camera.
I wonder if people pay attention to the words they use to describe the actions of people of certain races.

FOH with that crap. Go watch Love And Hip Hop Atlanta or Basketball Wives if you wanna see a reality show with "personalities".
I actually liked 24/7 Ward-Dawson. Both guys are intersting, I got to know more about both Dawson and Ward, and I think Dawson's trainer is an interesting character. I would've liked for HBO to do more than one episode

How you going to make a 24/7 based on a 10 round undercard fight with a guy that got schooled in his last fight and another guy who is nowhere near a top 10 pound for poound fighter?

Rios /Alvarado and they're relevant why? Dawson and Ward are p4p fighters fighting in a huge fight on the 8th, they "deserve" the 24/7. Ward has the potential to be the next p4p king and he needs the exposure for the good of the sport.

another dumb move by HBO investing in boxing version of welfare queens
Andre Ward
Chad Dawson
Andre Berto
etc.
notice a trend, they get overpaid to fight only a few times a year & can't draw flies to ....
