There has been rumours on Danish sites about this fight for the last couple of days. I didnt believe them.

And why should Kessler wait untill december to fight when he is finally injuryfree? Is this Sauerlands way of saying that they are unable to get an opponent in October? Maybe Kessler should accept the 1 million dollar net offer for Magee from old promotor Palle? That would lead to bigger fights and would give him the (bogus) WBA regular belt and some bargaining power. Fighting Abraham in december has little upside as I see it.

AA is probably the biggest money fight he can make outside traveling to Froch. Waiting until december is not too big a deal and this would be a massive event in Germany. It's also got its intrigues after Kessler was dropped by Green. I'd like to see this, and it hasn't happened yet either. I think you are somewhat off on the money part Cliff. Sauerlands shows are aired on german ARD which is a terrestrial broadcaster that is available in Denmark for free. Kessler normally makes his money off of insanely expensive PPV. That source of income will not be available, so I doubt the money will be anything out of the ordinary for the dane.

Its possible that the WBO belt is worth a little more than WBA's regular title yeah.

But in terms of legacy a win over Magee gives just as little as a win over Abaraham with less risk considering an Abraham fight would take place in Germany where AA's trainer will know the judges scorecard.

Who generates more money and whats the benefit to have them fight right away when it could be milked for a bit AA having a couple title defenses while Kessler waits for Froch

I like the fight but kessler should take a fight while AA heals up, he's getting old kessler is and should stay active.
