if it is then john i read a addition of the ring in 1988 and steve collins mentions your name as a great sparring partner. is that you he is speaking about?

Steve and I sparred for many of his fights including his 1988 fight with Sammy Storey..in RING magazine after that fight he said: "I've never been so light before and it felt good. I've been sparring with Robbie Sims and John Scully, the top amateur, for this bout so after them Sammy couldn't show me anything new"
