    Dawson vs Adamek

I just got done watching this fight again and man what a beautiful display of skills and boxing ability by Chad. Chad is one of the most gifted boxers in the game, I can't wait for Dawson vs Ward. These are two of the most skilled boxers in the game. I'll give Ward the edge at 168 but I would like to see a rematch at 175 next.

Dawson is good, would have liked to see him clean out the light heavy division (Pascal rematch, Cloud or other belt holders). I will give him credit for dropping down and taking on the best at that division, but he bite off more than he can chew in this case, Ward wins by decision in his hometown. Not too many fighters do well dropping down in weight, Dawson was always big for 175 also.
Don't think Ward will fight at 175 anytime soon (he is not a power puncher and might not be as effective), Dawson called him out, once he wins he will not move up in weight for what, he already won. Dawson will probably fight Pascal after he goes back to 175.

Dawson says he will be at full strength at 168 and I believe him. Ward gets very favorable treatment in Oakland. I hope Dawson gets neutral judges and a referee that will make Ward follow the rules. I mean the rules about not holding with one hand while pounding away with the other hand and head butting. I am picking Dawson to win.

Chad Dawson with Floyd Mayweather Sr. was the best version of Chad I ever seen, he had much more of a killer instinct and much more aggressive offensively with Sr.

but no question the Adamek fight was his best performance by far in his career

I agree and have often wondered why Dawson parted ways with Sr?

Egos of course. Sr. was "telling" Dawson what to do, i.e. how he shouldn't have his family around while training and Dawson was having none of it.

Sr. always has a rocky relationship whoever he trains, whether be his son or Ricky Hatton. But with Dawson it was a winning success, it's unfortunate that Dawson had to drop him as a trainer, he probably would be undefeated right now.

This is nothing new for Dawson though. He is constantly switching trainers, which does effect his performance. I noticed when Dawson switched back to Scully, he wasn't using his left hand that much.

The commentators made it sound lke Dawson was in trouble and saved by the bell, but I thought Dawson was finally settled back down and comortable again as the 12th ended. Anyway, very impressive performance by Chad. The best he's looked is probably this one, but the most impressive thing on his resume is probably beating Hopkins.

                    Really looking forward to Ward/Dawson.
