so much factored into margarito's career ending so shortly. the punches he took were the main culprit.

the injury to his eye all but sealed the deal, but a career based on taking that kind of punishment was never going to last long.

on the one hand he was a brave fighter who offered a lot of himself to boxing. he'll never regain his normal eyesight, and the punches he took will stay with him.

on the other hand he was almost certainly a regular cheater, who ended miguel cotto's prime with loaded gloves.


personally i have no doubt that he cheated in the first cotto fight.

Clearly Margarito's career had been officially over when Pac accepted to fight him.

Mosley ended his career as not only did Mosley expose Margarito's tactics but he also destroyed him and turned him into a disgraced coward. So much so that pac didn't even want anything to do with Mosley until of course Mosley's career was over.. See the pattern here?
