his visa expired and when he went to try and fix the problem, inmigration services determine that he had violated the inmigration rules and he should be detained for however long he deserved.

I just watched a video with him explaining that.

The US then talks about human rights. Yeah, right. Angulo could have kicked the warden's azz but it would have made matters worse. It took seven months?? What happenned to the fast judicial system?? People with authority, i.e. cops, all over the world, are beasts.

Not sure how holding someone in the country illegally for seven months is a violation of human rights, especially given that El Perro had supposedly been caught and deported more than once in the past. He certainly knew the risks about entering and staying in the country illegally. And, yes, it is a violation of federal law to do so.

What is interesting is that US policy is to not hold illegal immigrants in jail unless they have felony convictions or present a threat (even though they are entitled to under federal law--they don't simply to save money). Makes you wonder what the full story is here. Why would the US deviate from its known policy in the case of a semi-celebrity?

Let's also put this in perspective. To describe staying in a federal detention center for 7 months as a living hell is a joke. The poor bastard had to eat cereal and fruit for breakfast? The eggs were powdered? Here's a revelation for you Alfredo, the eggs at almost every restaurant you eat at (even the nicest) are powdered too. To be honest, I've never heard anybody ***** so much about how rough it is in a federal jail. State and county, yes. But the conditions there are much worse. His gripes sound as dumb as Floyd's idiotic statements that he "can't drink tap water" and the food is destroying ihis athletic career.

Wouldn't it have been easier for everybody to just deport him and then sort out whether he can come back?

As a boxing fan all I care about is to watch the man fight!! This is a boxing forum!!!!! Remember?! I'd like to see him in a rematch with Rosado or Kirkland to see where he's at.

all I gotta say is this man went through 7 months while mayweather did 2..Hopefully he can back into it quickly. 2-3 tuneup fights and he should be good to go. Maybe a rematch with Kirkland next year would be great..
