    Peter looked sluggish!

Scores were 98-91 and 99-90 twice but it was a boring fight with little action. Peter's trunks were ripped from front to back and Hawkin's were about to hit the canvas. The fight was stopped for 11 minutes because someone had a heartattack at ringside and the paramedics had to attend to that, so there were no paramedics for the fight for a while. Peter looked a little better after the intermission but still looked like he hasn't recovered from the Klitschko fight.

They actually said that someone out in the halls needed medical attention too so both ambulances were needed. It was a bizaar fight to say the least.

i think they said peter weighed in at 251, which is 7 pounds heavier than against klitschko if im not mistaken.

personally i thought he looked like crap, i think he left something in the ring against klitschko.

yeah well when you are soo hyped as a heavy hitter and you dont knock a guy who is being busted on for his chin, you loose some credibility.
i personally think Wlad just kicked sams ass, and samis still ashamed of it

Peter may very well be damaged goods now, Wlad gave him the beating I predicted. But I still say be beats Briggs

It can happen. Psychologically, once you have lost your air of invulnerability it puts doubt in your mind. Also into your opponent's mind too.
We all know that the dynamics of punches are delicate things. Positioning, power, angle, speed. All it takes is a touch of subconcious doubt and a fighter is not putting all his tools into that punch anymore.
Peter's always punched and had people tremble, fall over and offer no opposition. Wlad did get knocked over but Peter received quite a beating in return. Suddenly Peter has the awareness that when he swings and connects, he can still be hurt. So maybe now he doesn't commit quite so much to the straight forward knockout with no defense.
Not saying this has happened, but it would be a reason.
It's a lot easier to be a brawler with no fear when you've never known defeat. Peter now has known defeat. He may have heart and pull it all back together. He has plenty of fights left in him. Time will tell.
