This thread is dedicated to all the "underachievers" out there that we all love to see fight, the guys mistakenly referred to as club fighters ( well, ok, some of them are ) but who have the HEART of a champion. All of your favorites, this is da thread to give them props. The ones i can think of right away are:
Eduardo Sanchez - was stabbed and left for dead in road rage incident, docs told him he'd never box again. Not only de he prove them wrong but he took out the former #9 ranked junior middle in the world - J. C. Candelo and his alphabet title. if i could i'd watch this fight everyday.
Lamon Brewster - my favorite bum, the man is unskilled, but he always fights hard, he never stops trying to win the fight no matter how bad he's losing, he has the greatest attitude of any boxer, even when he's down on th canvas or down on the cards he says - " I just keep trying different things " and he puts everything he's got into every punch
Robbie peden - i watched his fight yesterday against nate campbell ( i think, sry guys, i forget names real easy ) and peden was losing, in fact it looked like he was starting to get schooled, he was dead tired, losing the fight when nate started playing with, him getting ****y, stuck out his chin with da hands down, and all of a sudden, the power punch came from nowhere, peden came back to life when most guys would have been psychologically beaten. i've never seen any of his other fights but that one is now one of my favorites becuz it shows some H.E.A.R.T
emanuelle augustus - not a bum, he's got mad skillz but he wins my heart award because he goes into other guys ( who really are bums ) home towns and schools them and then gets ****d by the decision. it takes great HEART not get discouraged and quit boxing after robberies like that. Also, please God, i'd like one day to see Augustus get a belt.
my brain is empty now, i just wanted to pay tribute to these guys, but i'm sure there's more...suggestions are always welcome
