and if you saw the fight, cotto did some good things in there. a very good fighter lost to a great fighter.

for the most part he fights top fighters, the divisions just arent that good. when WW was very hot floyd was semi retired. now it's pretty bleak.
Do you really believe that? look at Cotto's 154lb run - injured Foreman who was average anyway, a shot Mayorga and shot Margarito at 152lbs.

If Cotto is the really best 154lbs has to offer, shouldn't he have to prove it before being given the label?

Other than MANNY....JCCjr beats Floyd and Sergio @ 154! Canelo Alvarez beats him at 154 and 147 if he could make it! Broner would beat his azz too! @ 147.
Floyd will never fight any of these guys though! To dangerous. Bradley has a shot @ 140! He will probably fight Hatton again though!

2007 Welterweight, FLoyd Mayweather was the division main champion

          Miguel Cotto
          Paul Williams
          Shane Mosley
          Antonio Margarito
          Vernon Forrest
          Kermit Cintron
          Luis Collazo
          Joshua Clottey
          Ike Quartey
          Oktay Urkal

I wanted to see him in the ring with 5 of the men from that list, not the people they have now at 147

I don't think Floyd's cut out to fight genuine 154lb fighters. I know he beat a past prime Cotto there but MC was another fighter only stepping up, the fact Floyd was asking for a catchweight for any bout with Martinez should tell you something.
You talking about Manny and everything applies , the twist is Manny REFUSES to fight the weight versions that Floyd did , and you bag Floyd and defend Manny ,,,,, just a prime ****head !

Who else at 154 could beat him? Lara and Canelo have the best chance, but Cotto would be the favorite over both for good reason.

bradley anyone? south of 168 bradley is the only one who i could see putting a gameplan together to outwork floyd but this is in 2 to 3 years when floyd has slowed down more. i'd still pick floyd but im just saying the only one south of 160 who i could even fathom having any chance is bradley. you have to outwork and out throw this guy and be tough enough to take the counter shots and keep pressing.
